Trust me when I tell you that you can TOTALLY run a 1/2. I honestly think that [barring any significant health problems], anyone can do a 1/2 marathon. I believe that I trained for 12 weeks.

I'll be doing the Myrtle Beach 1/2 Marathon in February, as well as the Virginia Beach Shamrock 1/2 in March, and I'll be doing the Galloway (walk/run) method for both of those. Where there's a will, there's a way. =)

I just read this as I wasn't a reader last year. I'm seriously considering running a half. How long did you train before this race? It's good to know that you lived, and your pace makes me think that I too could finish.

LOL awesome race report. It was a fun read :) Especially the farting incident. Poor guy must've been miserable.

Congrats on finishing your first 1/2 marathon. EVERYONE deserved their medal for running in that kind of weather.

Way to go, sister! Congrats on the PR!

Farts are inherently funny, of course, but funnier still in stressful situations.

Great report and nice pix, too.
