When I have a bad day at work, I shop. Not for shoes. Not for clothes or handbags. I grocery shop. I think I need an intervention.

When I have a bad day at work, I shop.

Not for shoes.

Not for clothes or handbags.

I grocery shop.

I lose myself in the aisles of the grocery store.

It’s been a bad week at work. Really bad. Bad enough to give me the extra push I needed to move full-force-ahead with the career change that I’ve been tossing around for the past year and a half.

I have no choice. My wallet can’t take much more of this grocery store therapy.

Last night, after an especially challenging day in corporate America, My Gazelle took me to Super Grand (international superstore). It smells a little suspect in the joint, but I still love it anyway. If I didn’t get kicked out of there once already for taking pictures, I would have taken pictures.

There are so many photo-worthy items in Super Grand.

I’m a rebel, but I just can’t risk being banned from Super Grand forever. My heart just can’t stand that pain.

Here are some of the newest inhabitants in my arsenal of grocery store therapy props.

Did you even know that there was such a thing as green tea tapioca? What planet am I living on?

See, I know that this can of coconut milk is probably no different from the coconut milk that I could buy in the regular grocery store. But would the coconut milk in the regular grocery store have really non-English writing on it?

Yeah, I didn’t think so.

I am also pretty sure that there is no difference in the chemical composition of this tapioca and another other tapioca that I’ve ever purchased in my entire life.

But the cute package!

And the picture that makes the tapioca look pink!

I didn’t stand a chance.

And sweet rice flour!

The possibilities!

All of the things that I can do with sweet rice flour!

Like…

Like…

Err…Ummm…

Does anyone know what the shiz I can do with sweet rice flour?

I think I need an intervention.
