What…You Thought I was Kidding?
In case there was any doubt about how serious I was in this post, here’s a little bit of proof for your pudding. As I have stated in the past, I’m a little impulsive.
But I feel good about this decision.
And I’m starting to own it.
Change is good.
And I feel good about this decision.
There are just so many great online resources for raw food and vegetarian recipes (like this one), so the idea of changing things up doesn’t seem that daunting. I’ve been very satisfied for the past 2 months (give or take) without meat, so I’m really just excited at this point about being able to try out new recipes and food.
My shopping cart at Amazon.com was full of these little goodies, for a moment in time. Before I bought them.
“Conscious Eating”, by Gabriel Cousens
“Sproutman’s Kitchen Garden Cookbook: 250 flourless, Dairyless, Low Temperature, Low Fat, Low Salt, Living Food Vegetarian Recipes”, by Steve Meyerowitz
“Hooked on Raw: Rejuvenate Your Body and Soul with Nature’s Living Foods”, by Rhio
“The Raw Food Primer”, by Suzanne Ferrara
I definitely completed an eBay transaction yesterday for this:
Excalibur Dehydrator 3526T Factory Blemished Model
Why the factory blemished model? Well, because I’m cheap, and I’m basically just not willing to pay full-price for anything. And, I’ll love my food dehydrator regardless of any factory blemishes that it has sustained in its’ past.
Unconditional love, baby.
And did I mention that I feel good about this decision?
Without sharing with you my endless soliloquy about the reasons why I want to change my diet, I will just say this:
I want to. And I’m going to. And it’ll be fun. I like fun things.
For instance…
Last weekend, I was out running errands and needed to stop at the store to get Oatmeal and soap. That’s not the fun part.
The fun part occurred when I stopped at a grocery store that had mysteriously changed it’s name a few months ago from “Giant” to “some unknown grocery store name that I’ve never heard of before but just happened to be in the same shopping center as the CVS where I was getting my prescription filled”. Have you ever heard of that store before?
Me neither.
So I went into this elusive, chameleon-esque store, and nearly squealed when I rounded the corner of the first aisle and found this:

OH HAPPY DAY! An Asian market in my hood!
Do you see those cute little red bean cakes on the bottom shelf, with all of their pretty colors? Eeeeee!!! I was in heaven. I walked around said Asian market for over an hour. I love that place. If I come up missing, you can probably find me there.
Wandering through the aisles of sushi nori and jasmine tea.
I’m sure that I can find something to dehydrate at the Asian market.

Hey, sister, I hate to keep being the bearer of bad news, but this post did NOT show up in google reader till after I UNSUBSCRIBED to you feed and then re-subscribed.
And THEN it showed up as “Untitled Feed” I think. (I manually changed it to “Jogger’s Life”.)
I feel bad about this, sister. I don’t know if the same foax who read my blog read yours, but fwiw, I mention in my psot tomorrow that you’re having troubles and that people who haven’t seen a post from you in awhile in thei GRs should re-subscribe to your feed to see if that works.
If you want, you can send up a test post and i’ll let you know if it comes through to my GR now.
Again, I hate to be the messenger, but people won’t know you’re out here until this is resolved. I have a link to your site on mine and it also says your last post was 4 days ago …

Gqh, I’m really not trying to make you work so hard just to read my blog on the regular. I promise. As previously noted, my blog is cursed, and Google reader hates my guts.
I’m going to do a test post to see if the feed will work…
And any type of APB that you feel inclined to put out on my former (lost in the shuffle) blog readers would be so very appreciated.
