Astrology Freaks Me Out.

But I love it.

As a teenager, I could often be found in my bedroom late at night reading books about astrology, doing my numerology charts, and analyzing the compatibility of each of my crushes based upon his birthday.

After my brain dump yesterday morning, I didn’t really feel any better. I was still upset and nervous and worried about Sunday’s triathlon.

Then, I followed a link that Rachel gave to Susan Miller’s astrology website. I know that some of you probably don’t believe in astrology and think that the whole thing is hokey, but you’ll have to excuse me while I wholeheartedly disagree with you.

If the moon can trigger a woman to ovulate, then there is something to be said for the sun and the stars as well. We’re all connected, and in my little world, it seems crazy to dispel the ideal that astrology has no merit. I am too much like all of the descriptions of an Aries to not believe.

And not to mention, we all tend to believe the things that seem true and reassure us at the time. Hokey or not. So, here’s my reassurance, thanks to Susan Miller:

Still, even though there are likely to be a few shock waves coming, the smart money is on you. You always find a way to pull a rabbit out of a hat in the eleventh hour. You are VERY lucky to have Jupiter and Uranus acting like two burly bodyguards, flanking you on the right and left, following you wherever you go. So while the whole world is in for some headline news and radical shifts in late June, you have a rare protection the other signs don’t have, and that, dear Aries, will make ALL the difference.

You’re a cardinal sign, and cardinals are known to shake up the box, even when everyone else thinks that’s completely unnecessary. They say there’s no reason to change anything. You’ve heard the old refrain, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” But you know that’s no way to live, for good is never good enough. Aries strives to be the best, and that’s why I feel you are going to pull out all the stops and rise above any challenges now.

I will spare you all of the intimate details about Uranus moving into Aries, because that just sounds pervy…but just know that between this astrological breakthrough and everyone’s comments yesterday, I know that I’ll get through Sunday’s challenge.

I’ll smile when I’m finished, and I’ll likely move along to my next challenge refreshed.

Luckily, Uranus is on my side.
